(GDS) delivers a full range of consulting fundraising support, strategy and planning advice to non-profits and charitable organizations throughout North America
OUR PRODUCT
We target clientele in the USA & Canada and offer them a software funding solution that guarantee’s results or we give them their money back within 6 months. Another way to present it is we provide them access to an online funding resource that allows them to apply, track and receive funding for their philanthropic needs. We are basically the source for funding for non profit organizations.
Reporting directly to Senior Manager, GDS (the Manager), the Senior Fundraising Consultant will, as a key member of the GDS team, participate in the development of new business and the provision of fundraising consulting services to GDS clients. Responsibilities to include, but not necessarily be limited to:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Make GDS marketing calls and provide marketing strategies to selected existing subscribers their funding requirements
• Responding to, following up and qualifying referred requests/inquiries for GDS services
• Preparation of GDS Requests for Proposal and Writing of GDS client’s fundraising documents
• Attain specifics of funding needs, timing, priorities etc. for GDS proposal preparation
• Co-ordinate with and liaise with other departments that is relevant to renewal issues and/ subscriber satisfaction
• Preparation of daily and month-end records of billable consulting time to contracted GDS clients
• Provide assistance in the preparation and maintenance of GDS reporting for senior management
• Participation in the GDS ongoing strategic and planning processes
QUALIFICATIONS:
• The successful candidate will have the following qualifications
• 5-7 years of consulting experience in key facets of fundraising
• A proven track record of marketing fundraising consulting services and a demonstrated ability to build relationships in the not-for-profit environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• A post-secondary education; a CFRE accreditation would be an asset
• Ability to work independently and take initiative as well as function as part of a consulting team
• A desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment within the charitable sector
• Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-Mail
